Let me tell you how to avoid fandom hate.

I’ve been involved in online fandoms since before many of you were born. Seriously.

The best way to avoid fandom hate is to not participate. Don’t post about hate posts. Don’t respond to hateful snobs. Don’t talk about people you don’t like, especially people who may or may not be dating your favorite.

Don’t read hate gossip then bring it onto your own blog. It’s like spreading a disease.

Let the hate die where it was planted, and do not interact with it.

Your life, and the lives of the people who follow you will be better.
