When asked whether he would consider a Star Wars role
and here I was thinking he couldn’t be more perfect

I dunno, Tom…I think @lokiwholockfactory would find a way to disassociate you from Loki for this…

Big thanks to Loki, none other than @ twhiddleston, for a Thor-some visit to GOSH last week in support of our Stocking Appeal. Here’s Tom with patients Aaditya, Angel, Shifa and Sarah. Taking part in our Stocking Appeal is easy – send a festive message to the children and their families who will be spending this Christmas at GOSH and let them know you’re thinking of them. gosh.org/stockingappeal

Sharing is caring @i-wanna-be-toms-body-pillow … right @lokiwholockfactory ?! 😈

I completely agree @vicariousvictoria 💕

OK. I’m doing this. The above images were created for me by the amazing @marty-mc, a truly embarrassing number of years ago at this point, and I’ve been sitting on them until now (yes she told me I could post them whenever I wanted). With Tumblr going off the rails, potentially, I wanted you all to see these, and, if you want, read the story I started back in 2012: Hellenikon. It’s a historical AU set in ancient Greece, beginning in Sparta in the year before the Persian Invasion and the Battle of Marathon would change it forever. Read it here:

I had this idea not long after I fell in love with this ship, in the heady days after the first Avengers movie came out and I joined Tumblr and it seemed like everyone was loving life. I miss those days. I knew it was a massive project, and far beyond my skill level, so I planned, and I started writing, and ever since I’ve been tinkering with it, coming back to it and then dropping it again. More than the first chapter exists, but only this much is fairly finished, and I want it to go out there. This was always meant to be my magnum opus, a novel length story that would seal my place in fandom, but I’m not worried about that anymore. Life is short- post your story.

The recent upset with Tumblr, and seeing so many people talk about leaving, acted like a wake-up call for me. We don’t know, any of us, how long we have, with the people we know or the interests we have or the life we live. If I died tomorrow, no one would ever see this art. No one would ever read these words. It’s better to get it out here, in the world, than to keep it in the dark until it’s perfect, because it never will be.

So here. Enjoy! I put this out as a promise. Fandom won’t die. We’ll be here for each other. Even if the names and avatars and platforms change, we’ll keep going, keep creating. I made my first Tumblr friends in the Thorki fandom, and I shed a decade-long hiatus of writing to come back because I found this place and these people. Some of them have moved on, some are still here, but I hope this reaches them somehow. I put a lot of love into it (along with hundreds of dollars and thousands of hours of research), but it’s still beyond my skill level to finish it. It won’t be forever.

For all my fandom friends, past, present, and future: I love you. Keep creating. I’ll see you around.
